About us
Welcome to Päijät-Häme! Before you start working with us, let’s get to know each other. Wellbeing services county of Päijät-Häme is a public authority providing government funded health, social, and rescue services. We provide services for about 220 000 residents in the region of Päijät-Häme in Southern Finland. In our organisation the highest decision-making power is with the directly elected county council.
Most of the services provided by the Wellbeing services county of Päijät-Häme are public services funded by the national tax revenue. Supplementary services are purchased from private service providers.
The objective is to safeguard equal and high-quality health, social, and rescue services for all and reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing. The services are based on research evidence and use of the best and most efficient practices.
Location
Lahti is the largest city in Päijät-Häme with excellent transport connections to capital region and other parts of Finland.
Working with us
We have approx. 8000 employees and provide services for 220 000 residents. Our working language is Finnish and the desirable language proficiency level is B1 at the time of employment.
